    The general function of the Medical Operations Requirements Integration & Documentation Specialist is to ensure astronaut health and safety by providing operational support to the Human Health and Performance (HH&P) Directorate and the Flight and Medical Operations Division to assist with program coordination and documentation of medical operations requirements.  This includes requirement development and integration, book manager responsibilities and document preparation as a Medical Operations representative in NASA space programs.  Incumbent will perform other assignments and duties as required.     



    • Collaborate with team members, flight surgeons, Program Office, International Partners, and other stakeholders as required to maintain, track, and document medical requirements
    • Identify and bring information and cross organizational teams/units together to help facilitate global awareness of medical operations requirements changes.
    • Plan, execute and manage baselines and revisions to Medical Requirements Integration Documents (MRID).
    • Attend ISS Program, HH&P, FOD and Multilateral boards, panels, meetings that impact medical requirements integration. Report resulting recommendations, tasks, actions, or other information that impact medical operations.
    • Analyze weekly crew time usage file, then identify and report discrepancies of planned versus actual crew time usage and activities incorrectly identified as medical operations.
    • Perform assessments of projected increment and stage medical operations crew time usage and then report findings. Reports may include comparisons against the generic template/allocation, previous increments, or other customer defined parameter.
    • Perform assessment of crew time provided in the Post Increment Evaluation Report and then report findings.
    • Responsible for compliance with Safety, Health and Environmental Plan: must be committed to a high standard of safety and be willing and able to comply with all safety laws and all of the Company’s safety policies and rules and must be willing to report safety violations and potential safety violations to appropriate management
    • Responsible for compliance with the Quality Assurance Plan, policies, and procedures
    • Must maintain regular acceptable attendance level as determined by the Company
    • Responsible for completing all assigned training

    • Ability to prepare documentation, including spreadsheets and charts

    • Ability to communicate concepts effectively to diverse groups of technically oriented individuals including medical, science, and engineering professionals
    • Proficiency with standard PC and Microsoft Office software, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint. Strong MS Excel experience to include formatting and creating and use of advanced formulas, charts and tables. MS Word experience to include formatting, editing, use of headers, sections, tables, and styles, and managing page layouts.
