  • Overview



    Cost Research: Provide knowledge and experience in conducting various types of specialized cost research efforts to enhance cost analysis and estimating capabilities.


    Cost Estimating: Provide knowledge and experience in performing various cost estimating activities in support of all program phases.



    Cost Research: Responsible for, but is not limited to, data collection and analysis; program cost growth factor analysis; development of Cost Estimating Relationships (CERs); development of, or calibration of, cost models including expert system applications; and development of automated cost related data storage and retrieval systems.


    Cost Estimating: Responsible for, but not limited to, most probable cost estimates; cost analysis concurrent to the acquisition process; economic analysis; and probabilistic cost, schedule, technical, and programmatic risk assessments for Independent Review Teams (IRTs); Component Cost Analysis (CCA) and Analysis of Alternatives (AoAs). Includes experience in the operation of standardized cost models such as PRICE H, Software Evaluation and Estimation of Resources (i.e. SEER, SEM, SEER H), Revised Intermediate Constructive Cost Model (i.e. COCOMO II). Automated Cost Estimating Tools (ACEIT) and spreadsheet applications.



    • Must have a Secret Clearance
    • Experience with the Crystal Ball tool is required as well as familiarity with parametric cost analysis tools.
    • Business, Accounting, Economics or related degree is required.
    • More than 5 years experience in a Cost estimating / research role



    • DoD experience with Cost Estimating experience.
    • Top Secret is Desired
    • Masters degree is desired
